Ya girl is getting MARRIED (still crazy for me to formulate this sentence, but here we are)! I cannot believe the countdown to my big day is on and I'm in full wedding planning mode. We've finally decided on a theme...vintage glam (might have been me more pushing this vibe more so than Garrett haha), but we are so excited to start piecing it all together. We've set our date (August 26th, 2023), booked our venue (The Kinsleeshop Farm), and scored our DREAM wedding photographer Autumn Harrison Photography. Autumn is located in North Carolina, but travels all over capturing the most gorgeous and intimate details. What drew us to her photography style is the way she connects with her couples and isn't afraid to create bold and modern styles. I knew she was perfect for our wedding and for our engagement shoot!

The Theme

Since we are having a vintage style wedding we wanted our engagement shoot to mimic this theme. When I told Autumn my vision for the shoot she was fully on board and brought out all the creative details. For my look I wanted to do a retro style fit with some cat eye glasses and gloves and Garrett went with suspenders and a classic white shirt. I love how the vibe turned out!
The Location

The shoot location was at The Bradford, which is the most GORGEOUS wedding and event venue located in New Hill, NC. It is set on a stunning property and mimics old vintage and historic vibes - so perfect to fit out theme. We loved shooting at this location. The Bradford team was super helping in booking and getting things set up. If you're a bride to be like myself, I definitely recommend checking it out or even booking your engagement shoot there like we did!
The Hair & Makeup

OH EM GEE - words cannot even describe how amazing I felt the day of the shoot. I stopped into Reign Beauty to get fully glammed and they did not disappoint. I told them my vintage glam vision and they totally made my look come to live with shimmery gold toned eye makeup and vintage Hollywood waves. I went to their studio in Raleigh, NC which they often use for makeup trials, but they have a full team who can travel to you and your bridesmaids for your big day!
The Car

Ok now let's talk car. When I started planning this shoot I knew I needed a vintage prop to tie everything together and I thought a vintage car would do just that! I stumbled upon Roger's Classic Cars on Instagram I knew that is exactly who I wanted to book with. Roger has a few selections for vehicles and we decided on the 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible that was the perfect addition to the shoot.
The Shoot

As you know- I'm not a girl who is afraid to be on camera (cue the 1000s of Instagram pics haha), but Garrett is definitely different than me. What I LOVE about Autumn is she made us both feel 100% comfortable during our shoot. She is a pro at reading our body language and made us feel like we were "just hanging out" and "being ourselves" versus a full on directed photoshoot. We loved this because it definitely helped capture our raw emotions and that transferred so well into the photos.
How to Book

Overall, this shoot was an absolute dream and a HUGE thank you to everyone involved. If you interested in booking any of the vendors listed definitely check out the links above. If you would like to book Autumn you can visit her website below to contact!
