Wow I can’t believe I’m finally writing this blog post! It seems like forever ago I broke ground on building my first home and here we are. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who’ve followed my home building process throughout the months and for all the advice and kind words you’ve given! I’m so excited to share my home with you today and some fun decor I’ve used to decorate so far. I still have a while to go, but I’m sharing the rooms that are starting to come together. Click on each photo for more details.
Ok to begin...my favorite part of my home...the KITCHEN! I full intend to cooking healthy and lets be honest unhealthy meals and here and soak up time with family and friends. I went with a super farmhouse look throughout the whole home and wanted my kitchen to be the focal point of that trend. Cue the subway tile, bronze fixtures, and farmhouse sink...I’m totally channeling my inner Joanna Gaines in here!
Moving onto the living area. This area is a transition from the kitchen. I was a huge fan of an open concept design and wanted everything to flow into one! In the corner of this rooms sits a fireplace- stayed tuned for how my dad and I transformed the look of this on our own. I wanted antique looking furniture, so I decided to go with this sofa and chair/ottoman combo from Ashley Furniture. I’ve linked this set in the photo, just click to get more info.
For my master bath I wanted a very industrial feel. I’m not sharing the master bedroom that connects just yet, it is still a work in progress-but stay tuned! I chose bronze antique sinks and large round mirrors to complete the vibe. I got these from Target and they are very affordable. I chose to transition the subway tile into this room as well to tie it into the kitchen. I love how this turned out and even added a wood barn door to be the entrance of this space.
I hope you all enjoyed a glimpse of my new home! I’ve also uploaded a full video home tour on my stories if you’d like to see more. Stayed tuned for more home blogs in the future when I finished decorating the rest of the home!
